The development index of any country depends a lot on its poverty percentage. According to the latest survey, almost half of the world population lives on less than $2.50 per day. That makes it more than 3 billion people. More than 1.3 billion people live on less than 1.25$ a day, which is considered as extreme poverty. It is not enough for the government of these nations to do their part, as residents of this planet it is our duty to help those in need of it. FIGHTING POVERTY - Statistics might seem alarming but the good news is that there has been a significant alleviation in poverty status of many countries since the nineties.
